Modern Excel Dashboards & Reports (Build dashboards that feel 2026, not 2000)

Masterclass Overview

Most Excel dashboards and reports are functional. They hold the data, they have the numbers, and they get the job done. But there is a big difference between a file that exists and a file that impresses.

This masterclass changes that.

You'll learn how to design and build modern, interactive dashboards and reports from raw data to polished output. Dynamic array functions as the engine. Smart design principles as the guide. AI as the shortcut. Dynamic controls that let users explore the data themselves. A structure so intuitive that no explanation is needed. Outputs that make the right impression the moment the file opens.

You'll leave with a complete, polished dashboard/report and the system to build the next one faster.

In this masterclass:

  • Dynamic array functions as your data engine
  • Design principles that make your dashboards and reports stand out
  • Non-native business charts that communicate at a glance
  • User-friendly controls — no more "can you filter this for me?"
  • Time-saving templates and AI shortcuts

Masterclass Content

Session 1: What is a Modern Excel Dashboard & Report?

You'll start by redefining what Excel can actually look like in 2026. We cover the difference between dashboards and reports, what makes an output truly modern, and how to plan before you build. You'll sketch your layout, define your audience and set your goals — so every decision you make from here has a purpose.

Session 2: Back-End — The Engine

This is where the magic starts. You'll build the data logic that powers everything using dynamic array functions: FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE, SORTBY and XLOOKUP. You'll set up named ranges, connect your data to slicers and controls, and create a back-end that is clean, dynamic and easy to maintain.

Session 3: Front-End — Design That Stuns

Now we make it beautiful. You'll learn how to choose colors, build a style guide and apply UI design principles directly in Excel. We cover non-native chart types that make people look twice, plus specific design tricks for both dashboards and reports. The goal: outputs that make clients and colleagues stop and stare.

Session 4: Next Level — User Friendliness

A stunning dashboard that nobody can use is just a pretty problem. In this session you'll add controls, popups, interactions and navigation that make your work accessible to anyone. We also cover on how to protect your solution so nothing breaks when it leaves your hands.

Session 5: Faster with AI

In the final session you'll learn how to use AI to speed up your workflow: choosing colors, writing functions, generating ideas and creating documentation. You'll build reusable templates so every future dashboard and report starts ahead of where you are today.
